**Definition:** An adenocarcinoma cell line established from the ascetic fluid of a 64 year old Caucasian female patient with ovarian carcinoma previously treated with chemotherapy. These carcinoma cells are resistant to tumor necrosis factor and to several cytotoxic drugs.
