Anti-La Antibody

**Definition:** An antinuclear antibody directed against a 47 kDa RNA-binding protein in the nucleus. They can be associated with Sjogren syndrome and system lupus erythematosus. Maternal anti-La antibody positivity can be associated with neonatal lupus.
