**Definition:** A rare, progressive disorder characterized by abnormally high blood pressure in the pulmonary artery caused by obstruction and obliteration of the small pulmonary arteries due to drugs or toxins. The stimulant appetite suppressant aminorex fumarate and other stimulant anorectics such as the serotonin reuptake inhibitor dexfenfluramine, as well as other agents, including illegal substances have been reported as causative agents.
