BROCA-HR Gene Signature

**Definition:** A prognostic system used to assess if a patient has an increased risk for developing hereditary cancer caused by homologous recombination (HR) deficiency. This system leverages massively parallel DNA sequencing to detect cancer predisposing mutations in the genes in the BROCA panel and several additional genes in the Fanconi anemia-BRCA pathway and other DNA repair pathways.
