Buttiauxella ferragutiae

**Definition:** A species of facultatively anaerobic, Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacteria in the family Enterobacteriaceae. B. ferragutiae is positive for lysine decarboxylase and D-sorbitol metabolism and negative for ketogluconate and malonate activity. It was originally isolated from soil.
