Buttiauxella gaviniae

**Definition:** A species of facultatively anaerobic, Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacteria in the family Enterobacteriaceae. B. gaviniae is positive for arginine dihydrolase, 5-ketogluconate, and palatinose reactions and negative for ornithine decarboxylase and raffinose reactions.
