**Definition:** A standardized rating scale developed by Nicholas Bellamy with the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities in 1982, which is used to assess pain, stiffness, and physical function in patients with hip and/or knee osteoarthritis. The questionnaire contains 24 items which are divided into 3 subscales: pain, stiffness and physical function. This version of the questionnaire uses the 5-point Likert scaling format.
