Prevotella amnii

**Semantic type:** Bacterium

**Definition:** A species of anaerobic, non-motile, Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacteria in the family Prevotellaceae first isolated from human amniotic fluid. P. amnii is positive for phosphor-6-beta-galactosidase and negative for alpha-fucosidase and glutamyl-glutamic acid arylamidase.
