Prevotella timonensis

**Definition:** A species of obligately anaerobic, non-pigmented, non-spore-forming, non-motile, Gram-negative straight rod-shaped bacteria in the family Prevotellaceae first isolated from a human breast abscess. P. timonensis is able to ferment glucose, lactose and maltose.
