Roseomonas gilardii

**Definition:** A species of Gram-negative, non-fermentative bacteria in the family Acetobacteraceae characterized as coccoid rods, appearing in pairs or short chains. R. gilardii does not hydrolyze esculin or oxidize salicin; citrate is utilized, and fructose and glycerol are oxidized.
