pan FGFR Inhibitor PRN1371
**Semantic type:** Organic Chemical|Pharmacologic Substance
**Definition:** An orally bioavailable pan inhibitor of fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) family proteins with potential antineoplastic activity. FGFR inhibitor PRN1371 irreversibly binds to and potently inhibits the activity of FGFR subtypes 1, 2, 3 and 4. This may result in the inhibition of FGFR-mediated signal transduction pathways, tumor cell proliferation, and tumor angiogenesis, and may induce cell death in FGFR-overexpressing tumor cells. FGFR, a family of receptor tyrosine kinases, is overexpressed or mutated in many tumor cell types and plays a key role in tumor cellular proliferation, differentiation, angiogenesis and survival.
