Acidaminococcus intestini

**Definition:** A species of anaerobic, Gram negative, non-spore-forming and non-motile coccobacilli shaped bacterium in the family Veillonellaceae isolated from the human gastrointestinal tract. A. intestini is oxidase- and catalase-negative and negative for gelatinase and nitrate-reduction tests.
