Malassezia pachydermatis

**Definition:** A zoophilic species of lipophilic yeast in the phylum Basidiomycota that can be found within the microflora of healthy mammals. M. pachydermatis can be distinguished from other species in the genus by its ability to grow on Sabouraud agar.
