Trichophyton yaoundei

**Definition:** A species of anthropophilic and dermatophytic fungi in the phylum Ascomycota that is endemic to equatorial Africa. This species causes tinea of the scalp, but is capable of infecting the glabrous skin, nails, and the soles of the feet.
