ZFTA/RELA Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene that results from chromothripsis involving chromosome 11q13.1, which fuses the first 2, 3 or 4 exons of the ZFTA gene to sequences that are located 5' of either exon 2 or 3 of the RELA gene. This rearrangement is associated with supratentorial ependymoma.
