High Resolution Melt Analysis

**Definition:** A reverse, real-time, polymerase chain reaction technique in which fluroescently labeled double-stranded DNA is slowly melted apart by increasing temperature. Genetic mutations and polymorphisms can be detected by analyzing the melt curves, which correspond to the rate at which double-stranded DNA become single-stranded.
