**Definition:** Tissue characterized by the presence of large numbers of lymphocytes in different stages of transformation. Connective tissue cells including fibroblasts and macrophages may be present. Lymphoid tissue is framed by a network of reticular fibers and may be diffuse, or densely aggregated.
