Memory B-Lymphocyte
**Semantic type:** Cell
**Definition:** A subset of mature B-lymphocytes that are formed during primary antigen exposure, survive for many years after the infection has resolved and maintain specificity toward the primary antigen. These cells can quickly produce a large amount of antigen-specific antibodies in response to a subsequent exposure.
