Autologous Anti-MG7-CAR T-Lymphocytes

**Semantic type:** Cell|Pharmacologic Substance

**Definition:** A preparation of autologous, engineered T-lymphocytes that express both a second-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specific for the human gastric carcinoma-associated antigen MG7, and the co-stimulatory molecule 4-1BB (CD137), with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon intratumoral injection, the autologous anti-MG7-CAR T-lymphocytes target and attach to cancer cells expressing MG7. This induces selective toxicity in and causes lysis of MG7-expressing tumor cells. MG7, a glycosylated protein sequence from the tumor-associated antigen (TAA) carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), plays a key role in the development of certain tumor cell types. 4-1BB enhances T-cell activation and signaling after recognition of MG7.

**Synonyms:** - Autologous Anti-MG7 CAR-T Cells - Autologous Anti-MG7-CAR T Lymphocytes - Autologous MG7-CART - Autologous MG7-CART Cells - MG7-targeted Chimeric Antigen Receptor T Cells
