Non-Fucosylated Umbilical Cord Blood Regulatory T-cells
**Semantic type:** Cell|Pharmacologic Substance
**Definition:** A preparation of non-fucosylated regulatory T-lymphocytes (Tregs) allogeneically derived from umbilical cord blood (UCB), with potential immunomodulating activity. Tregs are essential in maintaining immunologic homeostasis, preventing autoimmunity, through the suppression of self-reactive T-cells, and they may induce tolerance to allogeneic organ transplants, including hematopoetic stem cell transplants (HSCTs). Administration of the non-fucosylated UCB Tregs upon HSCT may prevent or reduce graft-versus host disease (GVHD).
**Synonyms:** - Non-Fucosylated UCB Regulatory T-cells - Non-Fucosylated UCB Tregs - Non-Fucosylated Umbilical Cord Blood Tregs
