**Definition:** A finding about one or more characteristics of gastric cancer, following the rules of the TNM AJCC v8 classification system. This staging system applies to all carcinomas that arise in the stomach. Gastrointestinal stromal tumors, sarcomas, lymphomas and well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors (G1 and G2) are not staged using this staging system. (from AJCC 8th Ed.)
