TRIM Motif

**Semantic type:** Amino Acid Sequence

**Definition:** The TRIM motif includes three cysteine-rich zinc-binding domains, a RING finger, a B-box, and a coiled-coil region. The order of the sub-domains is conserved, with the RING finger, B-box and coiled -coil domains arranged from the N to C-terminus. However, the number of B-boxes can vary. (NCI)
