**Definition:** The BTB/POZ domain is an approximately 120 amino acid long, hydrophobic region found in two distinct classes of transcriptional regulators that contain either a C-terminal basic leucine zipper motif (POK proteins) or a Zn-finger region (Bach proteins). This domain has been shown to form homo-dimers in a number of BTB/POZ domain containing proteins. (NCI)
