Landolt Ring

**Definition:** A standard test of visual acuity, a symbol, in the shape of the letter C, is presented to the patient who must identify on which side of the symbol the gap is present. Both the size of the gap and the size of the symbol are reduced until the subject makes a predetermined rate of errors, thus ending the test.
