Minimization Randomization

**Semantic type:** Health Care Activity

**Definition:** A type of adaptive randomization schema in which the subject is assigned to the group that has the lowest imbalance score at the time of that particular subject's randomization. If all groups have low imbalance scores, then the subject is randomly assigned to one of the groups.
