Fox Chase SCID Mouse

**Definition:** Discovered by Bosma (1980) at Fox Chase Cancer Center, the CB17 SCID mouse has an autosomal recessive mutation in the Prkdc gene which causes a severe combined immunodeficiency affecting B and T lymphocytes.
