**Definition:** An adverse event in a newborn characterized by a lung disorder associated with pulmonary maldevelopment, scarring, and/or inflammation that develops in preterm neonates. The condition is defined based on treatment with supplemental oxygen for at least 28 days adjusted for the degree of prematurity.
