TCR alpha/beta/CD19-depleted Allogeneic Hematopoietic Progenitor Cells
**Semantic type:** Cell|Pharmacologic Substance
**Definition:** A preparation of hematopoietic progenitor cells (HPCs) from a haploidentical donor that have been depleted of T-cell receptor (TCR) alpha and beta (TCRa/b+) as well as CD19-positive (CD19+) cells, that can potentially be used for immune reconstitution purposes. The TCR alpha/beta/CD19-depleted HPCs contain high amounts of natural killer (NK) cells, gamma/delta T-cells, CD34+ stem cells, monocytes, and dendritic cells (DCs), while devoid of alpha/beta T-cells and CD19-positive B-cells. The TCR alpha/beta/CD19-depleted HPCs are used for allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and may allow for rapid and sustained engraftment, rapid immune reconstitution, and may prevent or reduce graft-versus-host disease (GvHD).
