Semiconsolidation Nodule

**Semantic type:** Finding

**Definition:** Nodule with dense (high) attenuation through which some normal underlying structures are visible. Semiconsolidation may appear as subsolid lung attenuation with thickened underlying reticulation or bronchovascular anatomy. In some instances, it may be challenging to distinguish the nodule from pGGNs or PSNs. The nodule is PSN if there is any solid component greater than 2 mm that is not underlying lung.
