Absorbable materials, which include collagen, hyaluronic acid (HA), calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), and poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), tend to have more temporary effects, whereas the effects of non-absorbable materials, such as polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) microspheres, tend to be more permanent.
