Gemcitabine Regimen

**Definition:** A regimen consisting of gemcitabine that may be used in the treatment of bone, soft tissue, uterine and Kaposi sarcomas; bladder, breast, cervical, endometrial, hepatobiliary, small cell lung, and non-small cell lung, ovarian, fallopian tube, primary peritoneal, vaginal, and vulvar cancers; malignant pleural and peritoneal mesothelioma; ampullary and pancreatic adenocarcinoma; thymomas and thymic carcinomas; cancer of the nasopharynx; mycosis fungoides/Sezary syndrome; T-cell lymphoma; Hodgkin lymphoma; and gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN). Low-dose gemcitabine regimen may be used for the treatment of bladder cancer.
