G-Series Nerve Agent GA

**Definition:** An alkylphosphonic acid ester nerve agent that is a colorless or amber liquid with a bitter almond-like fruity odor and is absorbed into the body by inhalation, ingestion, skin contact, or eye contact. GA causes excessive cholinergic stimulation by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase at neuromuscular junctions and in the central nervous system.
