EBV Immortalized Lymphocytes

**Definition:** A biospecimen consisting of lymphocytes that have been isolated from whole blood and are then infected in vitro by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV; HHV4). The infected cells are then cultured to select indefinitely proliferating colonies that can be maintained in tissue culture.
