**Definition:** A dog created for the sole purpose of puffin hunting, it is a now a friendly, athletic companion. This is a spitz type dog with triangular ears, curving tail, and a dense double coat. It has a distinct "rotary" gait, which is possible due to the flexible shoulders that allow the forelegs to extend to the side, perpendicular to the body. They have a variety of colors and markings. The average height range is 12-15 inches and the average weight range is 20-30 pounds.
