Autologous CD34-positive Peripheral Blood Stem Cells

**Definition:** A population of autologous cluster of differentiation 34 (CD34)-positive peripheral blood stem cells (PBSCs) that can be used for autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AHSCT). Upon mobilization and collection of the autologous CD34+ PBSCs by leukapheresis, the CD34+ PBSCs are re-infused into the patient. Upon transplantation, these cells can differentiate into a variety of cell types including the formation of new hematopoietic and immune cells.
