Flexor Hallucis Brevis Muscle

It originates on the plantar surface of the cuboid bone and inserts into the medial and lateral sesamoid bones at the base of the proximal phalanx of the first toe. It is innervated by the medial plantar nerve and supplied by the medial plantar artery.
