Absolute Phagocyte Count

**Definition:** The number of phagocytes (neutrophils and monocytes-macrophages) in a cubic millimeter of blood. The APC is the sum of the neutrophils (segs and bands), monocytes, and macrophages times one hundredth (1/100) of the white blood cell count.
