**Definition:** A proprietary assay for PD-L1 (Programmed Cell Death 1 Ligand 1). It uses antibody 22C3 to specifically bind PD-L1 on the cell membrane of immune cells and normal and tumor cells of epithelial origin in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) specimens.
