Magnetoencephalography

**Definition:** The measurement of the magnetic fields produced by electrical activity in the brain, usually conducted externally, using extremely sensitive devices. The measurement of electric fields in the brain provides information about the localization of brain activity which is complementary to that provided by electroencephalography.
