KMT2A/MLLT6 Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene that results from a chromosomal translocation t(11;17)(q23;q12) which fuses the 5' half of the KMT2A (MLL) gene to the 3' half of the coding region of the MLLT6 (AF17) gene. This rearrangement is associated with acute myeloid leukemia.
