Anti-CD37-CAR-expressing T-lymphocytes

**Semantic type:** Cell|Pharmacologic Substance

**Definition:** A preparation of T-lymphocytes that have been genetically modified to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the tumor-associated antigen (TAA) CD37 (cluster of differentiation 37), with potential immunostimulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration, anti-CD37-CAR T-cells specifically recognize and kill CD37-expressing tumor cells. CD37, a member of the tetraspanin superfamily of cell surface antigens, is expressed in B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL), in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and in some cases of cutaneous and peripheral T-cell lymphomas. It plays a key role in tumor cell proliferation.

**Synonyms:** - Anti-CD37-CAR T-cells - Anti-CD37-CAR-T Cells - CAR-37 T Cells
