MALAT1/GLI1 Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene that results from a chromosomal translocation which fuses the 5' end of the MALAT1 gene to the 5' side of exon 6 of the GLI1 gene. This rearrangement is associated with gastroblastomas and plexiform fibromyxomas.
