Gastric Adenocarcinoma and Proximal Polyposis of the Stomach

**Definition:** An autosomal dominant cancer predisposition syndrome associated with an increased risk of gastric (but not colorectal) adenocarcinoma, together with proximal polyposis of the stomach. It is caused by germline point mutations in the YY1 binding site of the APC promoter 1B. (WHO 2019)
