Autologous Dendritic Cells Loaded with SARS-CoV-2 Antigens AV-COVID-19
**Semantic type:** Cell|Immunologic Factor|Pharmacologic Substance
**Definition:** A preparation of autologous dendritic cells (DCs) loaded with antigens from severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2), with potential immunomodulating and anti-viral activities. Autologous peripheral blood monocytes are isolated and differentiated into DCs. The autologous DCs are incubated with SARS-CoV-2 antigens to create AV-COVID-19. Upon subcutaneous administration of the autologous DCs loaded with SARS-CoV-2 antigens AV-COVID-19, the DCs present the SARS-CoV-2 antigens to the immune system. This will induce an anti-SARS-CoV-2 immune response against SARS-CoV-2, and may prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection.
**Synonyms:** - AV-COVID-19 - Autologous DCs Loaded with SARS-CoV-2 Antigens AV-COVID-19 - DCV AV-COVID-19
