C-Scan System

**Definition:** A system for visualization of the colon. It uses three proprietary technologies: an ingestible capsule (C-Scan Cap) containing an X-ray source and X-ray detectors that transmit data to, the C-Scan Track data collection unit comprising three external patches that are worn on the patient's back during C-Scan Cap passage, and the C-Scan View workstation that allows physicians to review the data collected by the system. The ultra-low dose X-ray capsule, positioning, control, and recording system, and software generate a 3D map of the inner lining of the colon.
