Anti-interleukin-2 Receptor Subunit Gamma Monoclonal Antibody REGN7257
**Semantic type:** Amino Acid, Peptide, or Protein|Immunologic Factor|Pharmacologic Substance
**Definition:** A monoclonal antibody targeted against interleukin-2 (IL-2) receptor subunit gamma (IL2RG; CD132; cytokine receptor common subunit gamma; gamma chain; gc), with potential immunomodulatory activity. Upon administration, anti-IL2RG monoclonal antibody REGN7257 targets and binds to the gamma subunit of the human IL-2 receptor (IL-2R) expressed on the surface of activated T-lymphocytes, thereby inhibiting IL-2 binding and IL-2-mediated T-cell activation. This may block T-cell-mediated immune responses. IL2RG plays a role in both immune responses and interleukin signaling.
