MAGE-A1-specific T Cell Receptor-transduced Autologous T-cells

**Semantic type:** Cell|Pharmacologic Substance

**Definition:** A preparation of autologous CD4- and CD8-positive T-lymphocytes genetically modified to express a T-cell receptor (TCR) that specifically targets the human melanoma-associated antigen A1 (MAGE-A1), with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon isolation, transduction, expansion ex vivo, and reintroduction into the patient, the MAGE-A1-specific TCR-transduced autologous T-cells bind to tumor cells expressing MAGE-A1, which may halt the growth of and kill MAGE-A1-expressing cancer cells. MAGE-A1 is a tumor-associated antigen (TAA) overexpressed by a variety of cancer cell types.

**Synonyms:** - MAGE-A1-specific T Cell Receptor-transduced Autologous CD8+ and CD4+ T-cells - MAGE-A1-specific TCR-transduced Autologous T-cells
