FUS/KLF17 Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene that results from a chromosomal translocation t(1;16)(p34;p11) which fuses either intron 4 or exon 6 of the FUS gene with 5'-untranslated region of the KLF17 gene. This rearrangement is associated with myoepithelial tumors of soft tissue and bone.
