EWSR1/KLF17 Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A rare fusion gene that results from a chromosomal translocation t(1;22)(p34;q12) which fuses portions of the EWSR1 gene with the 5'-untranslated region of the KLF17 gene. This rearrangement is associated with myoepithelial tumors of soft tissue and bone.
