Umikibart
**Semantic type:** Amino Acid, Peptide, or Protein|Immunologic Factor|Pharmacologic Substance
**Definition:** A humanized monoclonal antibody directed against human hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon administration, umikibart targets and binds to HGF, preventing the binding of HGF to the HGF receptor c-Met and the activation of the c-Met signaling pathway. This may result in cell death in c-Met-expressing tumor cells. c-Met, a receptor tyrosine kinase overexpressed or mutated in many tumor cell types, plays a key role in cancer cell growth, survival, angiogenesis, invasion, and metastasis.
**Synonyms:** - Anti-HGF Monoclonal Antibody YYB101 - Anti-hepatocyte Growth Factor Monoclonal Antibody YYB101 - UMIKIBART - YYB 101 - YYB-101 - YYB101
